With the school year coming to a close and the playground filled to capacity, I know that camp season is upon us. Some of my happiest childhood memories involve my time at Summer camp - from color wars and swim races to water balloon fights and team cheers. I can also remember my mother combing through my hair when there was the inevitable outbreak of lice each Summer.
With this in mind, Cozy's Cuts for Kids, the New York children's hair cuttery, offers an all-natural lice repellant shampoo and conditioner that are gentle enough for every day use. Boo! Shampoo and Boo! Leave-In Conditioner ($14 each) contain natural lice repellants tea tree, rosemary and lavender oils, as well as aloe, ensuring that your tot's hair remains healthy and free from the itchy little critters. The leave-in conditioner can be used in conjunction with the shampoo, or on its own when your lil one wants to run outside for a hike.

And remember when dropping your kids off at overnight camp, to set thier beds up with everyone sleeping Head to Toes, no heads facing heads. Remind them to never share hair brushes or accessories, or hats.
1You don't typically catch lice just from playing outside (unless your kids get into birds nests). But TICKS are what I would be really concerned about with kids and the outdoors.
2Do these products repell ticks too???
Hoddie, any spray deoderant repels ticks, they hate it...and i have 12 years of summer camp to prove that!
3Ack!
I'm so glad my son hasn't ever brought these buggers home!
He has a very tight almost military haircut!
Hopefully that helps!
And he never shares his hats, ever!
Thanks for the tips CaterpillarGirl!
Have a great bug free day!
4this makes the rounds here every year when baseball season starts because the boys share batting helmets. so far we have not had to deal with anything but the shampoo "just in case" this stuff is a great idea!
