Lil Find: Belle Baby Carriers

Baby carriers can make life easier on parents who need their hands free, but it can also be rough on a baby toting mom or dad's hips and back. Belle Baby Carriers ($90, $100 for organic carriers) use a five point harness system that helps to alleviate this strain on the parents while still allowing wee ones to enjoy the benefits of being in a carrier. They allow for kids to face outwards or inwards, but I especially love the color choices, which makes them seem a little more stylish than similar products out there. What's more? Eco friendly parents will enjoy that for only ten dollars more, you can score an organic carrier.

i like the ergo best too... but i haven't tried the side position yet! this is somewhat cuter i guess.

In every one I've ever used, they're in the same position as they would be if I were holding them in my arms. No smushing or unnatural positioning.

I just never thought these type of baby carriers look comfortable for them.. Theyre legs always look squished and it seems like they are jammed up agasint you too tightly in an unnatural way.

I agree that the Ergo was worth the price. I bought one after a friend insisted that I borrow hers for a family vacation. My son actually never fit into a sling. I tried the Comfi and a Baby Bjorn before getting the Ergo- too much wasted money. I've never heard of the Mei Tai. I'll have to look that up.

The Ergo looks really nice, with a ton of padded support. I'd probably pay the $110 for an Ergo, but not for this one. Fortunately I don't need to since my sling and Mei Tai work great, but if I needed another one I'd check it out.

I just purchased the Ergo Baby when my son was 20 months. It is awesome!! I wish I had it from the beginning. I have been through a sling, the bjorn, a mei tai (babyhawk), and another cheap baby backpack and Ergo Baby has been my favorite because it is SO comfortable to wear. My husband and I took a 5 day trip to Kyoto, stroller free with our 21 month old ( he is 27 lbs). I carried him in the back position or the hip carry the ENTIRE trip and my back was fine (and I have a pretty sensitive back). He loves it too. When we are at home, sometimes he will bring it to me so that I can carry him around the house on my back. LOL!

This is for sale on babysteals.com today (12/29)! For about half the price. I thought about buying it, but I haven't gotten a chance to try on any slings or 'baby wearing' accessories. So I'm holding off until I can research what will hopefully work for me.

I think it's really expensive, and nowhere near as comfortable as a sling or as adjustable as a Mei Tai.

I received one in organic sand for my little one. it's ok, we use it around the house or when he's bundled in his snowsuit but I prefer my peanut shell and hotsling slings

Not a bad price either. I had the Baby Bjorn and it was pretty good. This one looks super comfortable for mom and baby.
