LeapFrog's popular gaming platform, Leapster, is updated for the first time since its 2003 introduction. The Leapster2 has a new form and online connectivity. When the system is connected to the Internet, parents can see the skills their children have learned, and kids can redeem points they've earned through the games for online rewards (like downloadable certificates, coloring pages, etc.).
The system's software library has also been updated with five new titles available at launch, and refreshed versions of their 10 most popular titles. The updated version is compatible with current games, so there is no need to rush out to buy new software.
