Have You Ever Taken a Photo of Your Child With Booze?

It's Labor Day weekend, and I have a feeling many a baby will be propped on the lawn chair with a cold one resting next to him while his parents snap away. If it's hot enough, mama might even put him in the cooler for a quick ice down. Moms and dads who don't condone children drinking or even wearing gear promoting the alcoholic substances may find posing the babe next to a bottle of booze harmless. What's your opinion?

I rinsed out a bottle of beer and added water and took my son's picture when he was drinking from it. I thought it was funny and in no way was he in any danger. Just cute fun.

I know that's the point, I was responding to Glowing Moon who said the alcohol one wasn't funny because it's not relevant to a baby.

lol, anon.. thats kind of the point. They can't use it and in comparison are teeny tiny.. people do the same things with animals. and people DO get upset about it. The majority of the people who saw mine loved it, but a couple people blasted me behind my back about babies and thinking alcoholic beverages are amusing. It was fine, becuase, no they don't really go together, and everyones humor is different, as well as the reasoning behind it, the timing, and a bajillion other things. Almost nothing in this world is black and white.

Huh. Apparently people do get upset. lol. I don't get it. I think people take pictures of stuff that isn't relevant all the time. For instance, out here in California it's extremely common to see pictures of babies posed with surfboards that they can't possibly use.

Is it wrong that I cracked up a little when I saw this photo? Haha I don't think its that big of a deal if you do or don't. Everyone has a different sense of humor.

No -- I don't like the idea. In my opinion, booze and babies do NOT mix. I don't see how they're relevant to each other, much less be cute. The only scenario I can imagine is if the baby was conceived during drunken sex, then maybe, just maybe that picture would be meaningful (and somewhat amusing). ;) :)

My uncle put an empty bottle of Bud next to me while sleeping in a carseat...I was all slumped over, and he took a picture. My parents didn't see until the film was developed. However, my dad really loved it, and framed it. I don't care. It's cute if you do it once.

I have.. lol. Neither my husband or I drink, though he is a bartender receiving his sommelier degree, so it was funny and ironic for our family... She was young, infant, and during a set of pictures of her she had slumped over and fallen asleep, so my husband stuck a few unopened bottles of beer around her. I do think it can be really tacky and trashy, and theres a problem if you continualy do it, but anything can be in the right context.
