Daughter Plays Rachel Zoe to Mama

Jun 8 2009 - 9:00am

Some time after my daughter turned two, she started caring about clothing. After realizing she could choose her own wardrobe, my mini Rachel Zoe [1] started offering me her fashion advice. Fancying party dresses for herself, it is no surprise that she prefers I wear skirts or dresses with sparkly ballet style flats.

In a hurry to get out of the house the other day, I caved to her demands and dressed in an ensemble she selected for me. Looking a bit like fairies, we set out to the grocery and picked up a few items before we fluttered back home and the pixie dust wore off and turned us back into a pair of pumpkins. I was a bit embarrassed at first, but after seeing the smile on her face after I put on the outfit — I'm likely to play dress up again.

Does your tot dress you up?
