Kid-Friendly Winter Activities in Chicago

Kids of all ages will fall in love with the Shedd Aquarium, located on South Michigan Avenue. The awesome Jellies exhibit (shown left) is at Shedd through May 28. Another must see is the Polar Play Zone, where your little ones can wear their own penguin suit and try being a bird or explore the belugas’ Arctic waters in a kid-sized submarine. Dancing dolphins, river crocs, sharks, and a giant octopus add to the fun. General admission is $8 for adults, $6 for kids, but special exhibits and shows comes with an additional cost and can be booked in advance.
