The paparazzi often catches model mom, Heidi Klum, playing with her children — Leni, 4, Henry, 2, and Johan, 1, but there's a lot more to motherhood than what is captured in photographs. We had a chance to chat with the haute mama who had a few things to say about the experience.
- We love how your children are always dressing up in costumes (and even you and Seal get into the action). What is it about dressing up that is so fun for the family? You can’t take yourself too seriously. It’s all about having fun and really being full participants in all aspects of our children’s lives.
- Our readers want to know how you get that post pregnancy body runway ready so quickly. Any advice, diets, workout tips to share? I never diet, but I try to eat healthier after the baby. I also find that running around the house to keep up with three small children is a great workout in itself.

- You are raising your family in Los Angeles, but are always traveling for
work and pleasure. How do you manage it all as you become such a successful business woman and active mother while still maintaining a thriving marriage? My first priority is always my children and my husband. Everything else has to come second or it just doesn’t work. No matter how busy we are, we still make the time to take a few family vacations each year that everyone participates in. I try to be home more now that I have children and don’t travel as much as I used to. - You once said, "Children are very addicting. Once they start growing up, you miss when they were little." Does this mean there will be more babies? Yes they are addicting. Each of them has their own personality and it is so amazing to see them grow and become their own person. No plans right now for more but you never know!

1What a great interview! She's too sweet.
2I bought a book called the New York Body Plan and I believe she used this after one of the babies. It was a combination of diet and rigorous exercise. Now unless the author made it up she didn't "not" diet and just chase after kids. Granted he said it took her a really short time to get back into shape after following his exercise plan.
3Ims--I heard the same thing about the New York Diet. It IS a diet and it entails a lot of exercise.
I'm over celebs who say they just "eat healthy and chase after their kids." I've read that from countless celebrity moms, and sorry, I just don't buy it. The friends I've known who've had babies have had to work really hard (as does anyone who is trying to lose weight) to get back to their pre-baby size.
Plus, you're going to tell me that after giving birth you've got six weeks before you're in a VS show in bra and panties, and you aren't working out? Whatevah.

Heidi says she doesn't diet, but she eats healthy. She doesn't say anything about NOT working out. She says she runs after her kids. Just because she doesn't say she spends time on the treadmill or jogs or something else, doesn't me she doesn't exercise or did exercise to get back in shape for her appearances. I'm sure with the success that she has and the fact that she is in her 30s, she has learned how to eat healthy and, therefore, would not have to diet.
It seems to me this was a quick interview with short answers. Perhaps she would have said more if there was time.

5It is not being catty when you have the book with her name on the back cover as one of his clients. I think we can read just fine.
Speaking for myself, I was back in my jeans a week after giving birth and didn't exercise, so I don't fall into the category of not thinking it is possible for women to get back into shape quickly.
However, when you are written about in your trainers books then you shouldn't say that you didn't do anything!! Even if it is a short interview she should have said she worked with her trainer, b/c it said that she didn't have much time to get into shape for the VS show so she did the workout and followed the diet plan that he gave her.
6It just baffles the mind how this woman manages to stay so down to earth. But this interview only reinforces that.
