"Lighting is always important. You need a good table lamp or standing lamp – one proper grown-up style nice lamp. And you need a dimmable nightlight. A light that can become a nightlight, that can go on a desk surface or something like that, so that when you go in there in 4 in the morning and have to comfort them or take them out for five minutes you don’t want to illuminate the whole room. One fun way to have that is to buy an illuminated globe, like a big one on a stand on the floor, that can be the nightlight. If a room needs two things, it's those things. It doesn’t really need a chandelier. I find the least attractive light is the single overhead light. So you can have one, but I would make that the last thing I'd put in a baby’s room. It should be the last thing turned on and the dimmest thing in the room."
