"I want to make the world aware I love my hair." When Sesame Street premiered its I Love My Hair skit in October, moms and girls celebrated. Upset after hearing his 4-year-old daughter beg for princess hair, Joey Mazzarino, the voice behind the Murray and Papa Bear characters on Sesame, wrote the song that became a call-to-action for parents of tots with anything other than straight, blond manes. Now, Mighty Fine is giving lil ones the opportunity to show their pride even when their hair is under wraps. The company just introduced three t-shirts ($25 each) featuring the character from the skit and several hairstyles. The shirts, exclusively available on their site, also come in adult sizes.
"Your hair is great. You can put it in ponytails. You can put it in cornrows. I wish I had hair like you!"
