Wax (or shave) yourself.

We're not talking about a full-on Brazilian bikini wax prior to surgery (but feel free if that is your thing), but shaving or waxing the top 1-2 inches of hair on your pubic bone prior to arriving at the hospital will eliminate the need for the nurses to do so with their disposable razors.

Its interesting, for my first, no one said anything about an enema. But for my second, my doctor told me to "clear my bowels" prior to surgery, and I had a much easier recovery. I don't know if they were related, but it definitely helped.

I do think its "pubic" bone not "public" bone? I might be mistaken though... This was informative. I wouldnt have known what to do or pack if I was to have a c-section. Thanks!

Um, I had a scheduled c-section, and I didn't have to have an enema. Just an FYI, as it might be different depending on the doctor and the hospital protocol.
