A quick dip in the tub for a rub a dub dub! Some parents have their children take a bath on a nightly basis and others let the grime build until washing it off is the only option. So come clean, how often do your kiddos soak?

My kids - a stepdaughter (age 5) and my son (2 1/2) are bathed daily - in the morning, just like my husband and I do. Iin a lot of ways, I'm a bit of a "granola" parent, but not re: athing. Hygiene is a big deal. Children run and sweat more than most adults I know...and then if you factor in a) diapers/potty training accidents and b) wiping problems in potty trained and pre-pubertal kids, it seems to me that they should be bathed daily. My stepdaughter does not get bathed daily when she goes to her mom's, sometimes she does not get a bath at all the entire time that she is gone. She comes back (and goes to school) with stinky, itchy hair, stinky feet...and well...remember that wiping issue I mentioned? Yep. Neither child has had problems with dry skin - we always use lotion, which just seems to make sense. I believe that kids shouldn't live in any way that I woudn't live - I wouldn't live dirty or without brushed hair etc and neither should my kids.

Unlike everyone else who posted, my child gets a bath/shower daily. My 13 month old is just getting into the semi-solid food phase and loves trying to eat by himself. This leads to a VERY messy meals so I have to give him a quick bath/shower. And anyways, I want to make sure his diaper area is completely clean since I'm never sure if I clean up his poops very well. =P

We give our two year old daughter a bath every evening as it's part of her bedtime routine. But we only use soap about two or three times a week (unless she has been outside and really dirty on a day we wouldn't normally use soap) and wash her hair probably once or twice at the most.

My 2 year old gets a bath every day, but we don't use soaps on her skin or hair. I wash her hair every week or so, and rinse it out each night. Of course, like everyone else, if she gets super dirty, that gets changed up a bit. My 8 month old gets a bath every 2-3 days, and I pretty much never use soap on his hair, it rinses out clean and fluffy without extra products.

my 2 girls 5 and 7 get baths on Sunday Tuesday Thursday in the winter and in spring and summer it all depends on how dirty and sweaty they get

i bathe my boys twice a day: in the morning and before they go to bed.

My son also bathes every other day. It strips your skin and hair of natural oils to bathe every day. I would do it less than I do, but he's a 5 year old boy, and he gets sweaty! BTW, that is such a sweet picture! Always awesome to see a big strong man look so happy with a baby!

I give my son a bath every other day. Of course, if he's had a dirty day playing then I give him an extra bath, but otherwise it's fine.
