How Many Names Does Your Child Have?

Whether you give your baby one moniker a la Madonna or four like her daughter, Lourdes Maria Ciccone Leon, they'll eventually have to spell them all. Forty-seven percent of lilsugar readers said nay to the notion that multiple names (specifically foursomes) were trendy.

My son has the standard three, though he will add a confirmation name in a few years to be: Cody James Constantine Axxxxxlastname We're planning on this for our daughter: AnnaSophia Rose Lyubov Axxxxlastname (we prefer running AnnaSophia together like this. Lyubov means "love" in Russian!). We're planning to call her "Sophie," but all the other names have important family significance. She'll have 5 names when she's confirmed, and if she decides to hyphenate when she marries, she could have 6 names!

I don't have any children yet, but when I do they will have four names in total. One first name a middle name, my maiden name and a last name. I feel like its important for my children to have my last name as part of their name.

My son only has three Seth Alexander and last name. My daughter on the other hand has 4. In order for me to get the name that I wanted I had to add a second middle lane. So she was named Peyton Olivia Giage and last name

My son legally has 5 names. First,2 middle and 2 last names hyphenated. I'm planning to change it so he only has 4 names next month. His initials will legally spell MARS after the change.

My kids have 3 names that they use socially, however legally, they have 2 middle names. They have one "regular" middle name, after a family member, and then they have a family last name as their second middle name. My husband was born with 5 names, and he is Catholic, so he ended up with 6 (counting Confirmation name). We aren't raising our kids Catholic, so they don't have to worry about having any more than 4 names each.

STEV!!!! That is the coolest thing I have EVER heard when it comes to naming. I dont have any kids yet, but, I always wanted their initials to spell something, but this is way cooler.

My son has 4 names because I wanted him to have my maiden name. I am part of him and I wanted my name to reflect that in writing.

My children have 4 names, including their surname. Their initials also spell out the first part of their first name... ex. Steven Tyler Emerson Vineyard = STEV (<-- that's just an example though! Not my son's name :P ) My daughter's spells out her nickname.
