How to Make Life-Size Paper Dolls

Lil Community: Life-Size Paper Dolls With The Tod

Remember the dress-up paper dolls that we used to play with as kids? A couple of days back, The Tod and I embarked on a lil crafty project — a similar concept at paper dress-up dolls, but life-size!

Keep reading to see how Hazelnutt House put the project together.

First, I cropped a photo of The Tod, leaving only her head and printed it on photo paper. Next, I looked for some pictures of accessories like bags, bracelets, hair clips, and watches online and printed them out on paper and laminated everything.

Here's the part where The Tod chipped in — I outlined some outfits and shoes which The Tod painted in herself.

Here's what the painted tee and shorts look like after laminating!

I wanted to add some blu-tac on the back of the cutouts so that The Tod could paste the cutouts on the wall. However, she couldn't wait and started assembling her doll on the floor.

Simple and easy to put together. The Tod is asking to create more outfits for her doll; I guess she likes "it!"
