How Kids Trick-or-Treat in America
Halloween Hoopla: There's No One Way to Trick-or-Treat!
by Heather Maddan 3
In San Francisco, my children go house to house to collect candy on All Hallows' Eve. Kids parade around the city, burning calories and consuming treats as they walk up and down flights of stairs to get their goodies. Friends who live in New York City take their costumed kiddos floor to floor in their apartment buildings to stockpile the edible loot. In other towns, stores pass out sweets to youngsters and social gathering spots become Halloween destinations for hay rides and apple bobbing. How does your family trick-or-treat?
