This is absolutely integral. In Camp Counselor 101, this is the first thing you learn: don't ask kids what they miss about home. There's no way to fill the physical or emotional role of Mom and Dad. When talking to your homesick kid, keep things light, upbeat, and happy. If they know that you're safe, sound, and committed to their stay at camp, then chances are they'll feel a little more free to let loose and have fun.
