A baby changes everything...even Bethenny Frankel! The Real Housewife of New York City and new mama twittered about her infant daughter, Bryn, who she affectionately calls "chickpea." The skinny girl recently admitted that her bundle of joy is the first wee one she's wrapped her arms around. She tweeted:

This baby has been an attitude adjustment. I'm in heaven. Your advice & sentiments have been so helpful & calming. I had never even held a baby.

I held my little cousins when I was a kid. The first baby I held was my (now ex) boyfriend's niece, just a couple weeks after I found out I was knocked up.... she was my practice baby. I remember being amazed at how tiny she was.

The first baby I ever held would've been my first sister, Lulu, who was born when I was two. By the time my second sister Scarlett was born, when I was seven, I was well versed in being a big sister, and she spent a lot of her first years in my arms. Now, aged 17, two cousins, plenty of parents' friends' babies, one of my own very close friend's babies and countless babysitting jobs later, I can safely say that when I do have my first child, he or she will most definitely NOT be the first baby I hold :)

I was 3 when I held my sister when she was freshly born, and would carry my younger siblings as babies from 5 on, but the first baby i was handed and left to my own devices with was my cousin when I was around 10. I have always been a responsible kid who was great with other kids, but they let me do whatever with this newborn. He was like 2 months old, and I was walking around outside the front yard/sidewalk, etc with him totally unattended. lol. craziness.

God, yes she was and I was terrified! Two weeks before going into labor I had been admitted to the hospital because I had problems with my kidney and the woman who I shared a room with had just had her baby via c-section that night. She asked me if I could hand her her babe from the crib because she couldn't lift her. Fear! It was then that I realized I had never held a newborn! I went to wash my hands before touching the baby and while I was in the bathroom a nurse came in and helped her...Wow, I was relieved. It felt really natural when I held my baby girl, though...
