For me, the real trick was trying to hide my belly! Long scarves do help, as do things like: tunics and untucked shirts, ruching across the torso, really wide hip-slung belts, a-line or full skirts, and unbuttoned jackets. My favourite top was one with lots of vertical ruffles down the front...and now I'm wearing all of this again to flatter my post-baby figure!
