Has Your Tot Been Sick Yet This Winter?

It just wouldn't be Winter without colds, coughs, and sniffles. And it seems like when it rains, it pours for one of my co-workers. Her son caught a rather nasty case of pink eye when it went around his preschool, and has been fighting off an intense round of bronchitis for over a week now. My own kids spent Thanksgiving weekend wrapped up in blankets fighting viruses.

Even though the height of flu season has yet to arrive, has your tot been sick?

Alana was doing well this winter until this weekend :( Now my poor baby is so congested she care barely breathe :(

Yeah. She had a double ear infection and then when we went in for her follow-up she had tonsillitis, although no symptoms of it. Now she seems to be getting another cold, which I anticipate turning into another ear or throat infection.

Wow, and I thought we had it bad...my son got an ear infection that came along with a cold and cough. Now my husband and I are sick as my son is getting better. The doctor warned us that he will probably get another ear infection in a few months and we are going to Aruba in February, so we are going to order medication ahead of time and bring it with us, just in case!

Oh schnappycat, how awful! I hope he's feeling better. My son has had a double ear infection since 12/14. Thankfully the fever has been gone for about a week but his ears keep rupturing and we've gone through 3 antibiotics. Some first ear infection....

My son, who has been really healthy until now, decided that Christmas would be a great time to contract Norovirus and infect at least (that we know of so far--it's still growing) 19 family members and friends we were visiting in MI. We all spent the two days after Christmas vomiting and "other things," and are still recovering days later. Good times. We are now calling him "Typhoid Evan" for all the damage he did and the high success rate he had at making everyone we saw ill. He even put my husband's aunt in the hospital. It was not a fantastic Christmas and we will all be remembering his first holiday not so fondly. Oops.
