Grandma Tries to Barter Her Grand Baby

Far from a doting grandmother, a Mississippi woman who was down on her luck tried to sell the owners of a bait and tackle shop her grand baby. The infant was so new his umbilical cord was still attached. In exchange for the newborn, the woman wanted two thousand dollars and a vehicle. The child's mother said she knew nothing about the incident and that it wasn't the first time the grandmother had done something like this. We hope the baby comes out of this bizarre incident unscathed.

It sounds like mom needs to cut all ties to kooky grandma and get her kids away before they're old enough for grandma to cause some serious mental harm... or physical harm now.

Snarl! (Slightly off topic-I heard the phrase "grand baby" on the Jenny Jones show, way too many moons ago. To this day, it is the verbal equivalent of nails on the blackboard. Ugh.)

this doesnt shock me because there are plenty of crazies in the world, what made me do a double take was the place she was trying to sell the baby to A bait and tackle shop......you know, cause those dudes have a lot of cash from selling bait? maybe she wanted a container of worms, or crickets in exchange, heck you could use a baby to catch alot of critters!

Let me see... if grandma had done something like this before... like the story reads, then how come she was allowed within 100 feet of the kids unsupervised or at all for that matter?!?!
