Goldilocks Bunk Bed: Kid Friendly or Are You Kidding?

A man's home is his castle, so why shouldn't his daughter live the same way? I thought I had seen it all when I came across the luxurious carriage crib, but this Goldilocks bunk bed has my jaw dropping. For a mere $3,000, the custom-made castle holds a twin mattress in the loft and either a twin or full one on the bottom. Both a nightstand and a bookcase are built into it and a matching dresser can be purchased separately.

Will this luxe bed bring sweet dreams or nightmares?

My kid would love that, these are some very interesting kids beds, even I like it although I am an adult. Are there any other designs besides this one? I am interested to see more.

I certainly love to look at these kinds of beds and dream! There's a site called www.poshkids.com and they have ridiculous, amazing beds. There's a pumpkin carriage bed and the price is unlisted! You have to ask about that one specifically...although I think I read somewhere else that it's about $20,000.

Actually, you can order this and other designs from the designer/builders at www.playhousedesigns.com. I think they're amazing and had desperately wanted to build one for my daughter. The plans are $75 or so. They're built with plywood and MDF. If you're handy with a skil saw and a hammer and screwdriver, you could build one.

I love it! It is pricey because people will buy it for that much. If I could buy that bed, I totally would. It is just so cute and anyone who doesn't like it is just jealous that they can't buy it!

I'm not really a fan of the new format either. Part of what I don't get is why on earth we need to know when the person who commented registered with the site. It's usually pretty obvious who is new and who isn't and if I am really interested then I click on the name... but oh well. The bed is cute, but pricey.

That is cute...but I probably wouldn't buy it. It's too pricey for a kid that'll be too big for it in like 6 months. ...and yes, the new format sucks.
