i definitely HAVE TO find time to shower, much less a week?!..but i may be guilty of the rest, well except the spit thing, that is just nasty, i keep wipes!

I am laughing so hard b/c this is so true. I am guilty of all. I remember before I was a mom my mom used to do the spit shower on me and I thought it was gross. I always said I'd never do it, but look @ me now. I'm quick to wet my finger and wipe the dried crust from my 2 y/o's face. The only thing is wiping snot with bare hands. The closet I've been to doing that is picking my daughters nose. I think wet snot is gross and wule wipe it with something other than my hand, but everything else was right on. The finger test has always been gross to me. I'm a sniffer, Its quick with not nearly as much clean up! LOL!

I cannot even imagine eatting my kids leftovers, I gag when my husband does it. I do use my kids clothes or even a leaf off a tree to blow a nose but I would probably compleatly freak if a boogie touched me, ewww. spit clean I myself could never actually do I don't even like using baby wipes to clean my kids I like washcloths they feel clean, baby wipes don't so I'm sure spit would be even worse. I am guilty of the other two, I don't feel it is the healthyiest thing in the world to bathe daily you never give your body time to regenerate it's natural oils, besides the time between 3 kids play dates meals school sports and extra curricular activities only leaves a few slots open per week. and if the kiddo is wearing a onesie, tights, and either pants or a jumper it takes forever to undoo everything to check and redress and even if poop is a prominate smell urine is not as noticable until you get the diaper close to your head so yes I am guilty as charged there too.

I have done em all. I didn't have kids to play "prissy sissy" I wiped snot with hands, shirt tale, turned a jacket pocket inside out wiped and then tucked it back. I have picked boogers and wiped them oin the inside of my pants cuff. Have done the spit baths and used to lick my kidlets faces after they ate a cupcake or something. Quicker than a napkin and it made for a silly goofy time. I have gone several days without a shower, I have never used a finger test on a diaper and it really sounds gross. I would pick em and smell which i don't understand how that is gross. It is a telltale sign..smell poop there prob is poop. I am no germophobe and believe my kids are actually healthier because of it. they have been exposed to the dreaded "cooties" of life and while my germ fearing keep kid hooked to a anti germ gel IV friends all had sick kids so much of the time mine were always out playing. believe it or not my nail biter was the healthiest of them all and I think its because she just built antibodies up from eating them all the time. But the grossest thing as a parent I drank a bottle of Dr Pepper after my youngest ate graham crackers and snuck a drink leaving chunckie lunkies in it. (that is what my family calls the after your kid drinks floaters)

Guilty of all. The snot one is only in the direst of circumstances. Yucky. I have wiped their snot on their own clothes more often than with my own fingers. And yeah, sometimes you can't smell a poopy diaper until it's close and pulling open the side is gross too, like you want to see the poop?

I have not now nor ever given my kid a spit bath, ate their left overs at a meal or wiped snot with my bare hands. That is just disgusting beyond belief. I never had to smell a bottom to know a diaper needed changed anymore than I would go without showering every day. It may be my germophobic tendencies but I know I've never done it. I don't know any mom friends either who have as well.
