One of the pleasures a pregnant lady enjoys is the absence of her monthly visitor. Nicknamed pretty Miss Sally, the crimson tide, or moontime, most women enjoy the hiatus from cramps, tampons, Advil, and mood swings — though the latter may make an appearance from time to time during expectant months. Some women are lucky enough to enjoy an extended sabbatical during their nursing months.
After weaning my son, I expected maybe a month or two of spotting or perhaps nothing at all. Instead, I became ghostly white, exhausted, and reluctantly welcomed back a completely different visitor. Some mums experience a much lighter and shorter menstrual cycle after birth while others are flushed with a purging spell. Did you notice differences in your periods after giving birth?

OMG! Did it change?! Hell ya! I always get a weird ache at my right shoulder blade now. (I know. What the hell?!)Heavier. Longer. And WAY more hormonal. I'm two years postpartum and the mood swings/hormones are getting crazier. Finally the flow is starting to get back to more "normal" for me. Still longer, though...
1I am 3 years post baby and my period is still way heavier and longer. Boooo!
2OMG .. I never knew that happened
Does it get better after having a second child?
