Couldn't agree more with lickety split. Being pregnant isn't what makes someone a parent.

there are lots of ways to become a parent. being pregnant is just one of them. i didn't have any trouble getting pregnant, but i never felt like i NEEDED to carry the child to be a mom. we have friends who have used donor eggs, IVF, adoption and surrogates to become parents. in the end, all of them became parents.
