Leif Bristow, CEO of Knightscove Media, who is looking to bring a 100 percent family-friendly channel to cable across America says:
"I absolutely believe that if you put kids in front of video games or content that desensitizes them from violent behavior, then they will act out on that violent behavior. You have to be consistent about building the messages you want the audience to come away with. This is a responsibility for filmmakers and media companies for the product they put out. When you look at the old Westerns, someone came out, got shot, and was hurt. It wasn’t like The Terminator, where you watch someone with a machine gun shoot someone else 1,300 times and the person is still walking."
