Volvo was of the first car companies to introduce many now-standard child safety features like the three-point safety belt; padded instrument panels, rear seat belts, front head restraints, and child-proof safety locks.
What I love about the 2011 Volvo XC70 (also offered in the V70 and XC60) is that it comes with a built-in booster seat that looks like a normal seat, but can be lifted to two different heights so that a child can see out of the window (and wear a seat belt properly). This car also features "variable spool" seat belts that can detect whether they need to fit an adult or a child.
