Safe Stork Flag: Ga Ga or Gag?

Make way for the mama-to-be! One mother who had enough of rude and aggressive drivers on the road created the Safe Stork ($10 for two), a flag designed to attach to a pregnant woman's car windows to alert other drivers about her expectant status. They're oddly reminiscent of the once popular Baby on Board placards, would you put one of these on your vehicle?

I've been pregnant three times and have never expected special treatment. I was never a fan of the baby on board signs and this seems even more ridiculous.

It would definitely attract psychos. Plus, considering I'm obviously pregnant and have been shoved off the train steps, I'd have to say that up here in Boston, people don't really care and are rude cretins no matter what.

Ridiculous, obnoxious and self important. Driving around with a status flag on your car like an elected official or something.. .give me a break.And I'm jumping on the "I agree with dani99" wagon. She said it beautifully.I've had 4 children and I did not expect special treatment from anyone during any of my pregnancies.

they are called car "accidents" for a reason. as if someone would see this or those ridiculous "baby on board" signs and decide, "oh, i guess i won't run into you afterall." these would make an accident more likely b/c i for one, would drive faster to see what weirdo thought one of these was a good idea! and i'm currently pregnant.

Everyone deals with bitchy drivers. I can understand how a pregnant woman wants to be left alone, ya know, just in case something happens that could hurt the baby. However, this seems pointless. You're pregnant (so are millions of other people), and truly, no one gives a damn. If you want people to know you hate when they tailgate you, the middle finger...or perhaps riding the brake spitefully will help you. It's what the rest of the world does.

I agree that pregnant women use the entitlement card a lot, however I will admit that I used it when I was going through my all day sickness and occassionally when I'm still physically ill.

Danni99, ITA! No offense to anyone, but these flags are ridiculous. They could attract crazies, as others pointed out, or inspire road rage in people who are annoyed with us breeders for precisely these kinds of attitudes. ;)

If everyone would just act with slightly more courtesy and common decency towards everyone else, regardless of circumstances, we wouldn't need silly placards that tried to set ourselves out as special and unique. And heck, *I'M* currently pregnant!

Bah, if these catch en vogue people will abuse them like they did the baby on board signs. What I do like is that in the town I live in there are busy parking areas that designate a good deal of parking for expecting parents and new parents (as well as handicapped and hybrid car parking).
