Materials: One raw egg per child and lots of imagination!
It's the classic egg experiment: the drop. Challenge older kids to come up with a way to drop an uncooked, raw egg from a high point (an upstairs window would work) onto a concrete surface below. There are many methods for making it work (it's all about cushioning the force), but some easy solutions involve wrapping the egg in bubble wrap and packing the egg in a gallon storage bag stuffed full of puffed rice cereal.
