The Duggars Have Another, Their 18th Baby Is Born!

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, the Arkansas couple known for their large brood, just welcomed another! Jordyn-Grace Makiya was born on Thursday, Dec. 18, via C-section. Weighing in at 7 lbs., 3 oz. and stretching 20 inches long, she will be the newest star of the family's TLC series, 17 Kids & Counting. She will make her debut, on the show that documents her parents and 17 siblings conservative ways, in an episode that airs on Dec. 22.

my problem with the duggar family is that i;m jealous! my husband and i have tried for 6 years to get pregnant and tried to adopt for two years. finally in sept 08 were able to adopt a newborn baby girl. these two just look at each other and are expecting the next baby. i mean i don't want 18 children, just 2 or 3 more would be nice. if they can afford to feed and clothe the kids, more power to them.

geebers, thats how most families in the world work, the older children learn responsibility by helping out the younger ones. NONE of the older ones have ever expressed anything but Joy in being role models to the younger children. how is that irresponsible? its actually the right thing to do. "hellbent on having more children" well to me it looks more like heavenly blessed to give life and joy and a good home and upbringing.

Sorry there is NO way these parents are raising the kids by themselves. They expect their older kids to raise the ones they have no time for. I find that totally irresponsible and proof that they obviously do not have the resources to take care of the babies they chose to have. This family annoys me and I echo the sentiment that they should have adopted instead if they were that hellbent on having more children.

Agreed, blue. I can't respect any parents whose parenting style including wh*ring out their children on TV. That includes that Jon and Kate Plus 8 crap and every celebrity to puts their baby on the cover of People or US Weekly.

Angelina's been to Haiti, DR, Chile, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Sierra Leone, India, and many others and has not adopted children from those countries.

I didn't name any names, a lot of people on different sites say she's addicted and it's weird. If she was addicted he have like 10 adopted by now.

"But if I were in charge there would be no more new babies until we find homes for all the kids we already made." That's what bothered me, I just think it's ridiculous. And I don't care for Angelina at all, so I may be biased in that opinion.

Well, the Angelina-related comment I agreed and responded to was made by Frank y Ava, so I don't know what that has do with True. :shrug: I do think it's a bit harsh to characterize Angelina as "she picks one up every time she wanders out of the country" for doing something of great benefit to the children she's adopted, but to each her own, right? :)
