Michelle Duggar Pregnant With 19th Baby!

Anna isn't the only Duggar expecting! This morning on the Today show, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, who will become grandparents next month, announced that they too will add to their big brood with a 19th baby next year. The couple known for their reality show said they are currently close to the three-month mark. Congratulations to the growing family!

Well good for them. They seem to take better care of their children than many with far less. I wish they could have one for me. I have never been blessed with any children.

My guess is that she probably mixed the Bapists with the Catholic Church. The Church doesn't support birth control, generally. (in reference to littlemizfit's comment about Justanerd)

19 is A LOT, but it's their choice. I wonder if someone getting 19 abortions done instead would inspire as much criticism. Being as the Duggar's are a Baptist family,I'm going to assume that they do not believe in using any kind of birth control, so a pregnancy is the Lord's decision- not theirs. That also means they wouldn't do artificial fertilization, or surrogacy.

If they lost their show,I wonder if they'd keep on having more children? Sometimes I think they're only having them to keep the show alive.But really enough is enough.It's time to stop multiplying and enjoy the one's you already have instead of letting the older children rear the little ones.Sit back and enjoy what God has blessed you with. I pray Josh and Anna don't follow in his parents footsteps and have this many.

I think that is crazy. Why does she keep wanting babies? She should concentrate on the kids she has. She should at least send them all to school so they can have friends and a life. All the older kids do is babysit the little ones. I can't stand the show.

I don't care about how many kids they have. I just hate that they put their children on a reality TV show for money. The only reason they are famous is because of their unusual reproductive activity. They are not particularly talented or intelligent. They are simply using the fact that they have a lot of children to get money. Same goes for the Gosselins. Let your kids be kids, and quit using them to make a buck!

who thinks these kids are intelligent? they're as dumb as dirt and totally brainwashed! take them out of their home and state and see what bumbling hayseeds they really are. have you seen the NYC episode where jimbob waves money to stop a cab? oh, and his name is "jimbob"...

can we talk about the fact that all these people did last season was talk about NOT having sex and not dancing or doing anything that would be construed as sexual? they spend more time talking about not having sex than most people that i know talk about actually having sex. it's creepy. they're always giggling and talking about who's going to chaperone and having us watch them hold eachother's sweaty hands all day becuase anything more is a sin... Meanwhile, apparently once you're married you can screw all day until the cows come home while you ignore the other 18 kids who are starved for attention. * all that being said: please note you can do whatever you want in this country.

I like Cassie's comment. If they can afford them, who cares? More power to them! At least they aren't on government assistance doing it. Personally, I would NEVER have that many...I used to say 5 back when I was still enthusiastic. Now? Not sure! MAYBE one... :)

I have watched the show and must comment, the children all seem to be well-adjusted, intelligent and really good kids! I personally think Mrs. Duggar is crazy, but that is her choice. I can't imagine her body being able to hold up much longer! She didn't even give herself a year to mend from the last baby! The thought of being pregnant for more than three quarters of one's life .... no way honey! However, they are a loving family, no one looks stressed or abused, and the children are absolutely adorable. If they are happy, isn't that all that matters?

Yeah, enough is enough already. I don't see how they can have a deep, personal relationship with each of their children. Just because God gave them the ability to procreate doesn't make it a "miracle" each time they conceive. Geez. go back on the pill already.

UM, they are a TOTALLY debt free and self sufficient family. They ARE NOT freeloading or living off the government. Save that distain for Octomom. Basically, if it aint you, it aint your business how many children they have, have your own and be happy. No one is asking you to support the Duggars, and from what I've seen, they are also contributing to better the planet with trips to 3rd world countries to help them better themselves. A lot more than most of you that are cutting them down do.

Sad... just so sad for her children. I think it is a very selfish act with SO many parentless children in the world. I do not watch the show because of this.

this is so rediculous, it actually bothers me a lot. yes, they are raised in a loving home but this is just stupid now. if they want 50 kids, how about they stop having kids and adopt. there are so many kids in this world that need loving homes. i can't even watch their show or anything b/c it's not cute to me, it's stupid.

All this hate sounds like jealousy from people who wish they had their own reality show and/or working marriages and good children.

Have you seen their laundry room? Heck, most hotels don't even have that many washers! What about the kitchen? Bedrooms? Bathrooms? They have all the latest top-quality equipment, gadgets and modern conveniences, which of course were publicity allowances and i'm sure they would find themselves in a bit pickle should they be taken away...Are they also not completely reliant on material possessions...a lot of which most of us don't have in our homes? Sorry, but they hardly represent a penny-pinching family trying to make the most of their resources.

I agree that it's a womans right to chose, and that if you have a child it's your responsibility to raise that child. For anyone who says that it's irresponsible to have this many because there's no way they can be completely financially independant, or have enough time for each and every one of thoses children, I feel really sorry for you because you are obviously too stuck on yourself and material posessions to grasp why or how someone else would chose to do things in their life. They have made the choice to be financially independant and worked hard to be that way. They spend lots of time with all of their children. They have a different belief system than most of the population, but that DOES NOT make them wrong! Yes, the environmental impact is something to consider, but I'm sure in many ways they're far more responsible than a lot of others out there! Since when does a family of 3 or 4 really need an oversized, over priced gas guzzling SUV? They've also learned how to make many of their own organic, environmentally products such as soaps and have learned how to do a few large loads of laundry instead of several smaller ones. They drive fairly reasonable vehicles for their family with the exception of the bus which is used for trips with the whole family. So it's not my cup of tea and I don't plan on having that many children, but good for them for having their beliefs and sticking with them when so many people are trying to put them down! There needs to be far more people in the world with their strength!

They may have been self-reliant for a time but seeing their living conditions now, they are hardly "living off the land." Custom-made house, brand new furniture and appliances, thousands of dollars worth of food a week (and God knows they don't just limit themselves to the staples and cook meals from scratch. The amount of crap they eat is horrifying, yet that too comes at a price!) ...smells like donations and sponsors to me.

This is ridiculous. At some point having this many kids is selfish. As others have said, she cannot possibly give all her kids the attention they deserve. I feel like the older kids are doing more of the job of raising the younger kids that the parents are. This might sound horrible, but now I'm just waiting for one of the kids to lose it and rebel. I think its bound to happen and will be hilarious.
