Does Your Tot Gravitate to Electronics?

Lisa Bonet went for a walk with her daughters in New York City. While Zoe, 19, may be older, it was 18-month-old Lola who toted a more mature toy. The lil girl happily occupied herself with a BlackBerry Curve protected by a blue gel cover while she rode in the stroller.

I've noticed many children are attracted to the bells and whistles electronics offer. Is your tot a techie?

My daughter loves to play with all our gadgets especially the cell phone and my itouch.

My little one loves remotes, phones, computers and ipods. She has a fake phone that plays music and tries to steal all of mom's gadgets.

I did take the battery out of my old cell phone and let him have that one to play with. That seemed to help some. Last month he got a hold of the babysitter's cell phone and dialed 911. That's what prompted me to give him his own. I need to get him his own "computer" too. Everytime we open our laptop to look something up or do some work he zooms over from where ever he is to try and touch it.

oh & our lil guy ruined daddy's cell phone w/his saliva... in mere SECONDS no less... it's amazing how much drool can come out of a baby's mouth isnt it?

all my boys want mom's iPhone. The smallest, 7 months, wants to get a hold of my MacBook Pro so bad. I have some photos of him really going after it. :-)

Not at all. She's not really even interested in toys that sing. She wants rattles and teething rings. The boys were the same.

We let my 16 month old son play with my husband's old blackberry (it isn't hooked up to make calls) and he has an XO computer my mom bought him, but we let the battery totally drain and he doesn't even know it turns on, he just "types" on the keys. He also loves our cordless phones. I let him play with them, but I keep an eye out so he doesn't make calls. He knows how to unlock my iPhone and asks for certain apps by name. The only way I could get him to eat dinner tonight was to let him play with the rubber duckie and koi ponds apps. The apple doesn't fall far....

I should have put other because while he likes electronics specifically the tv remote and our cell phones we try not to let him have them because he just puts them in his mouth. I don't want to even think about the germs on the remote and I don't think excessive saliva is good for cell phones. lol :)
