Does Your Child's School Hold a Holiday Pageant?

I remember standing on wobbly pews in the choir loft in grammar school, belting out classic Winter and holiday tunes to a church full of grinning parents and grandparents. This scene from Love Actually puts my alma mater's event to shame, but does make me think back. Today, afraid of offending anyone, many schools have scrapped their annual holiday pageants.

I did this every year from kinder to sixth grade! I miss going to them now because I have no immediate elementary-aged family and my baby sister is 13 so, it's been a long time. :( the kindergardner's are adorable! I can't wait for my niece to grow up and to have kids of my own! :)

We didn't have anything like that, but we did have a Christmas diner with the whole school. Everyone dressed up and a teacher read us a Christmas/winter story. I loved it!

it does! each class does a song/dance number and then they do one number together. very sweet. i look forward to it each year, and seeing how big the kids have gotten from year to year. and of course the kindergartners are always super adorable, waving at people and forgetting what comes next.

My elementary school had one, and I sang in the school choir. I sucked, but together we weren't too terrible. But we did Christmas, Kwanzaa, and Hanukkah songs so no problems. That Love Actually video is too cute.
