Other carefully space out their tots, giving them a break between newborns and giving their bodies time to get back in shape. Hollywood moms are no different. I've heard the term before; it is very commonly heard in the North East! My sister and I were 16 months apart and people referred (incorrectly to us) as Irish Twins or Bookends all the way up until High School...My first two kiddos are 3 years apart and then our 3rd (due in 5 weeks!!) will be 10 years younger than our first, and 7 years younger than our second!!! Are we crazy....we are starting over but missed having a little one around the house so much that here we are. It is actually really wonderful to see how excited our older two are about the baby and I think when they get older, they will share a special bond with her because they'll remember so much more about this stage of our family's life....

I've never heard the term "Irish twins". lol Greggie, my mom must have too... there are 7 years between me and my older brother :)And 15 years complete age difference between the oldest and youngest. Although she did have two other kids between those :)

You do know "Irish twins" is generally considered a derogatory term, right?I didn't know three years was considered a "significant break" between kids. I must've taken a full on vacation between my second and third kids. *lol*
