What Do You Call Your Child's Pacifier?

Pacifiers come in all shapes and sizes, so it's no wonder that we all have our own names for them too. One child's "binky" is another child's "dummy." Some creative kiddos even come up with their own original names for their coveted soothers — my pal's babe referred to her sucker as "my cc." What do you call your child's pacifier?

We called them passy or a pappi or pap pap.My neice was weined from the passi and the bottle by convincing her the baby goat we were bottle feeding needed them. Too bad she had other hidden all over the house. To us a binkie was our blankets.

We call it "juju" for short and "juju pari" for long. lol

I've found that a little of the Hispanic people I know call it Bo-Bo. I called it that when I was little and so did other people in my family.

My oldest always called her pacifier her "Blah-Blah" so that's what we always call them now. Even my youngest calls them Blah-Blahs now and she doesn't even use them.

pngwn, that is so cute. the same worked for my nephew when he realized my daugter (9 weeks) used one.He didn't wanna be like a little baby anymore and gave her his pacifier. we usually call it noo-noo

In our family its called a "bubble" lol.

In our house it's called a "sucky" or "plug".

We always said passie (not sure how you'd spell that one). Paci? Passy?

We call them ippies. Both my mother and grandmother used that, so it seems natural. I suppose it's a shortening of nipple.

My son called it his sucker. When it came time to test the waters and see if we could get rid of it, we happened to be on the road, and passed a field of cows, his fave at the time. I told him I have his sucker to a baby cow that was crying "moo-hoo-hoo". He pouted for a second, asked about the cow and that was it. Couple of rough spells, and by day 3, totally over it. He would ask every so often if that cow still needed his sucker though.
