Did You Share Maternity Clothes With Friends?

One of the beauties of pregnancy is that women join the sisterhood of those who have gone before them. Through this bond, mamas-to-be learn about some of the secrets of pregnancy — like the dreaded "H" word and increased libido — as well as some tricks for easing labor and delivery. Moms often offer expectant women their maternity clothes, books and sleep pillows to ease the trek.

My husband's cousin lent me some of hers. I haven't lent mine to anyone because my friends are all smaller than me. But I did lend my neice my snuggle pillow thing.

With my 2nd pregnancy, my sis-in-law and cousin passed their clothes to me. I used some of my clothes from my 1st pregnancy. It was great! I only ended up buying 2 pairs of jeans this time around. I'd rather spend my money on the new baby.

I'm not quite in maternity clothes yet, but I've had a few offers. I'm quite a bit shorter than most of my friends so we'll see how that works out. lol

No one lent me clothes, but I did just lend a bunch of my maternity stuff to my next-door neighbor, who is pregnant.

Both pregnancies I had co-workers and clients just bring me giant bags of clothes. I am pretty plain in dress (think gap) and while it was a very sweet sentiment I just couldn't bring myself to wear giant floral chiffon dresses or a pleather zippered maternity skirts. I pretty much stuck to a uniform of maternity jeans and long sleeved t's. I didn't offer anyone my clothes as I didn't want to impose my lack of maternity fashion on anyone.

For my 1st pregnancy, 3 friends shared clothes with me! That was fantastic! Now I'm prego again but without any shared clothes - I need to go shopping! And I felt bad that I haven't been able to return the favor to anybody yet. Nobody who got pregnant in the last 2 year's was the same size as me.

I passed on my maternity clothes to a wife of my husband's coworker right after my daughter was born. No one gave me any maternity clothes since I was the first one around my age to get pregnant in my group of friends and family.
