Did You Primp For Hospital Pictures?

All women have that new mama glow when their babes make their way into the world. But, some ladies prep for their postpartum pics with the infant. Did you smear on lipstick, swipe mascara on your lashes or run a brush through your hair before posing for baby's first photographs?

I'm with Lickety Split on this one. The thought didn't even cross my mind. I think it's way more natural and sweet to look a mess in the picture. That's the way I think you're supposed to look, not like you had time to fix your hair and put on make-up.

Nope, I didn't primp but I probably should have I looked like hell after all that pushing LOL

nope, nothing. Like Secretthoughts it was 30 hours of labour and I was not in the position to primp lol. I had wanted to ( I even packed mascara and the like) but it just didn't cross my mind. Maybe next time :)

no cameras allowed in my recovery room, he will be just as small and wrinkled when he gets home in 2 days!

I think the most I did was fix my hair. No make up, no contacts, I dont even think I had a "glow"...but it was still a nice picture. Haha

Both times I took a shower, blew out my hair and put on makeup before going to the hospital. So the only makeup or hair I had done was pre-labor. I think my pictures look great. When you go through labor you really don't think about putting on mascara once that baby pops out ;-)

no, lol. it would never have occurred to be that what i looked like was of any importance at that moment. the moment is what makes the picture beautiful.

ha ha, i asked my husband to put my hair up because it was sticking to my face with sweat... and i was holding my daughter. so in the pics it looks like my husband put my hair up, it is not pretty. but i think the pictures are perfect and capture the moment as pure.

Ha. I had neither glow nor makeup. After 36 hours of induced labor, makeup was the last thing on my mind, and the glow was more of a waxen palor. To top things off, my lips were stained from the popsicles I ate during early labor, and no one told me! Needless to say, I don't look so good in our first pics. I wish someone had helped me out!

I'll admit - I walked into my c-section with freshly blown out hair and a bit of mascara on. I skipped the lipstick though!

i would never get in a picture without a coat of mascara and some color on my cheeks and brushed hair (if it was straight) or at least my curls up high in a bun

I absolutely will use just two minutes to brush my hair and put on mascara and a clean t-shirt, even if I'm dog tired. It's one of the first photos of the new family together, so I think it's ok to primp a little.
