Did You Lose Your Virginity to the Father of Your Children?

The first time can be a charm . . . for children. Our girl Très is polling her readers about where they lost their virginity and it got me thinking: did the person you lost your virginity to end up being the father of your children? Lots of people used to save sex until marriage so it was a given that a person's "first" would be their coparent, but now that's often not the case. Still, there's always high school sweethearts or couples who reconnect later in life or, as 16 and Pregnant has proved, the chance of getting pregnant the first time. Fill us in!

Yep! He was my first... he's the father of all of my children... and he'll be my last! :-)

Yep, but we definitely didn't wait until marriage, and I wasn't his first (he's 10 years older than me.) We did wait until we were married before we started having kids though. We've been together for 5 years, married for 3 years, had our first child this past April and are expecting our second child this August. Growing up I never thought the guy that was my first would end up being my only, since I wasn't planning to wait until marriage, but I do think its kind of sweet that it worked out that way.

All of the "NO" remarks are the exact reason why you should wait until marriage to have sex. you all are lucky you didn't get pregnant with any of those guys. I am soooo glad I waited to have sex until I was married. Heck ye it was hard to resist at times but at the end it was worth it!

My husband and sons father wasnt my first, but I was his LOL I am definetly glad though that my first is not the father, he turned out to be an abusive criminal and attacked the girl he did marry. Luckily she was smart and got out asap! I hope no one ends up with him as the father of their children.

Nope. not at all. But its Kool. It would of been a total disaster with my first. The guy I first loved, we did have our first child together but that didn't work out either. Ha! Go figure. You can't always predict the weather right? Now with my second child, things are more stabled and I have grown up a lot.

Congrats to all those who have held such long term relationships! Impressive, and you should pat yourself on the back for how much work that takes. My hubs and father of my child was not my first. I made a few mistakes before I was lucky enough to find the right partner. But any past relationship taught me something about what to do right this time around, so no regrets.

Thank goodness NO!!! Looking back, I'm pretty glad he is but a small chapter in my life :) Nice guy but definitely not dad material.
