Delilicious: Getting Baby to Eat Greens
by POPSUGAR Moms 9
Breastfeeding mamas should stock up on veggies if they want their lil ones to eventually go green says new research from the Monell Center.
And, parents are advised to keep the vitamin filled goods readily available since repeated exposure to vegetables also played a role in babies eating them.
An article on Food Consumer discussed the findings of the study that are published in the December 2007 issue of the journal Pediatrics. It said:
"It's a beautiful system," said senior author Julie A. Mennella, PhD. "Flavors from the mother's diet are transmitted through amniotic fluid and mother's milk. So, a baby learns to like a food's taste when the mother eats that food on a regular basis."
