Children have a way of getting what they want — even if it means breaking the law. While waiting on a prescription at the drug store, my lil love got sticky fingers. Before leaving the store, I checked in with her only to discover a thief! Unbeknownst to me, she swiped a pair of sunglasses when I wasn't looking. Embarrassed, I quickly handed them back to the clerk and apologized for the near theft. She laughed and put them back without hesitation. Next time, I may not be so lucky!

When my daughter was about 8 months old she brought home a fork from C.C.F. We didn't notice till we got home. We did bring it back the next weekend though. We just nonchalantly put it back on the table. We think about it every time we go there and have a good laugh.

My cousin when he was two-three years old would take DVDs home and no one would notice until it was too late. I think he did this about three times with different things. My other cousin was trying on headbands in Claire's, but it didn't have a tag on it so we forgot about it and left the store and then I took it back because we wanted to set a good example for the kids. She was three and 1/2.

I stole a pack of basketball cards when I was like 6 or 7. It was so easy, I just held it in my hand and walked out of K-Mart.

The boys never did, but I have no doubt my daughter would grab at pretty objects. She just moved into the regular stroller where she can see everything, so I'll need to keep a close eye on her. It's the nature of the infant to grab. ;) Once they're old enough to understand the concept of paying for what we have, we do that as well.

the picture that accompanies this post is FANTASTIC... but meandtheo... i'm pretty sure you get a pass for that (also at 10 months old i'm not sure she's gonna get the theiving aspect of that).. our lil guy is 10 months old also... how much FUN are they at 10 ms!!!! enjoy!

i am the one really at fault here...in the check out line my young one was getting antsy (she is 10 months old), i handed her a pack of tic tacs for a rattle, she was so happy shaking away that i forgot to pay for them and didn't notice them until we got home...

Nope she hasn't taken anything so far.My daughter knows the rules ,if you want something you have to pay for it and not paying for it is considered stealing.We've been teaching her that since she was old enough to understand it.

LMFAO, No! We have taught my toddler all about Buying and Shopping. She loves to shop. She always says "Mommy bought that!? Ohhh." When she shops she even makes choices.. like she will look at what her options are and put one back. ;) (My sister on other hand.. oh boy, my mom was always nervous shopping with her. lol.)

One time we got home from a restaurant and 7 year old my son was carrying his spoon. I gave him a strict talk and couldn't believe we hadn't noticed him leave with it. I washed it and the next time we went there I brought it and left it on the table.

so far none of my children have lifted anything. but as of now they are at they the age where i would be such a hardass if they did. but i don't think they will..;)
