Hard economic times have shaken the lives of many children in the United States. While the parents carry the burden of paying bills and finding shelter once they lose their jobs, youngsters miss the little things like their toys, backyards and personal space. Families that never would have imagined themselves in such financial predicaments have fallen victim to the recession and become homeless.
They don't have to give notice unless it's in your contract, which most people do not. There is a "safety net" called unemployment, but the max you get per week would be impossible for any family to live on. I know in Arizona it's $240 a week.
What happens if you lose your job in the USA? Do they have to give you month notice? Is there a (temporary) safety net, or do you just go from getting a pay check to getting nothing?
I'm just wondering after seeing this video, because it seems like one day they were working and living normal lives and the next they were homeless.
aww, so sad. i feel bad for their parents because they must feel like they're letting their kids down. i heard on the radio a few days ago that there are 300,000 homeless children in california now. at least these families have a safe place to go.
