A head writer for Sesame Street, Joey Mazzarino found himself at a loss when he found the daughter he adopted from Ethiopia playing with dolls. When the tot claimed that she wanted straight blond hair like the dolls, he penned the song and skit called "I Love My Hair."
In the song, he says, "Your hair is great. You can put it in ponytails. You can put it in cornrows. I wish I had hair like you."
