oh please celebs giving birth at home by choice dates back to the late 1960's and in decades prior pretty much everyone gave birth at home rich or poor. Vanessa Redgrave had a home birth after to hospital ones in 1969 age 32 and some that want home/water births end up in eligible because of complications

I would like to clarify that although not all are able to get insurance coverage for home birth, many, especially in states where midwives are licensed, are. I even know some midwives who accept medicaid. One does NOT have to be wealthy and "privileged" to have a home birth. It is true that in some places it can be very difficult to find a midwife and/or afford a home birth; there are many trying to change that. But please, don't assume that home birth is out of your reach if you're not a wealthy celebrity!

That is an interesting comment, Spiritual Goddess. You should know that when my mother had me in the early 1950s at home, the neighbors asked if my mother and father were so poor as to not to be able to afford the cost of a hospital birth. Now, 60 years later, people cannot afford to have a home birth. Interesting!

It's cause they can afford it and it is probably cheaper than paying security to hang around the hospital. They value privacy and they have one their homework. Insurance companies won't cover home births cause they are too caught up in the payback from all the paradigm of paying the other to help you through his drugs and quackery. Plus they are more in touch with their imagination/HAVINGNESS and ability to create through their creative forces. Giving birth and dreaming into reality through channeling another spirit into the body you have made is amazingly creative to women and what we are programmed to do.
