Caps for Sale ($7) is a story of a peddler selling his wares — only to be taken by a gang of monkeys. As I jollied through the monkey business and acted out particular phrases with my hands and feet, my wee one giggled through the rest of the book. Now at story time, I can't get through one book before she's touting, "Caps! Caps!"

I had forgotten about this book, until my kids were introduced to it at library story time. They both like it a lot--pretend to be the monkeys.

I loved this book when I was younger! It was always among my top reads, along with Mike Mulligan and the Steam Shovel & The Giving Tree!

My son loves this book. I have to read it over and over. Its a little odd but it works.
