Another crash c-section mom here. I have to add one thing that they forgot: Mild, out-of-nowhere, completely random pain at the incision site. I still get this, and my daughter is almost three years old.

LOL! this brings back memories of my emergency c-section! the bleeding was expected, but with this being my first experience with any type of birth, i was not prepared for seeing, i don't know what to call it, "other stuff" other than blood. i freaked out and thought my uterus fell out...i was 21, didn't know any better, and postpartum hormones were kicking my butt. My mom told me i had nothing to worry about, but i swore up and down, crying, that this was not normal. I placed a call to my doctor's office and spoke to my doctor and she settled me down...i can laugh at it now, just remembering the hysterics i was in.

I had an emergency C-section too. I never ever ever considered that I might need one...I just thought "this information isn't relevant to me". So needless to say I was terrified of the OR when my dr said that I needed to have a C-section. My point is: ladies, educate yourself just in case! You never know what way your baby will choose to make his/her debut. And even though this all sounds scary, it really isn't that bad. Take the word of someone that has self-proclaimed zero pain tolerance. Our bodies are so much stronger than we give them credit for.

I had a c-section with my daughter, and while it wasn't absolutely horrible, I am hoping to have a VBAC the second time around. But if I have to do another c-section, I will keep all of these in mind!

They don't you about that you about drainage or your wound may open. Even with that said I would do it over again in a split second.

I had an emergency c-section, and I was so glad I knew at least some of what to expect! Lucky I like to read up on stuff, whether I think I'll need it or not.
