Is Britney Spears Cleaning Up Her Image to Get Custody?

After agreeing to give ex-husband Kevin Federline custody of her kids, Britney Spears singled out Jenny McCarthy at a Generation Rescue event hosted by the former playmate-turned-author and her beau, Jim Carrey. While Jenny was a bit of a wild child back in the day, she's gained the respect and admiration of many as an advocate for autism. Since her son, Evan, 6, was diagnosed with the developmental disorder, she has used her celebrity to bring attention to it. Do you think Britney plans to clean up her own mommy image in order to get more custodial rights of her sons, Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1?

I agree with Ericka, it's for her own monetary gain in bringing back her image, not to actually do anything worthwhile. Not to mention that it's the only way her father's allowing her to get headlines lately, and we all know she'll do anything to keep her name in the press.

i suspect that britney has her own reasons for being there. remember sean preston being dropped on his head twice? if he has developmental delays she might be looking into what the cause could be. it would be easy for her to start her own charity, write a check, this took time, so i think there is more to it than her image.

Um, how about just so she isn't being made fun of constantly? I don't think she cares about getting her kids back, nor about autism. I think she's just trying to not seem as insane as she is.

I think part of it may be to put on a good show, but let's give her some credit for hanging out with some winners lately instead of the losers. If you want to succeed in life, you need to surround yourself with successful people. I also think that a lot of people in Hollywood are rallying around her (i.e. Madonna, Mel Gibson, etc.) and that they are really rooting for her to make a comeback. Maybe she's just realized that what she's done has not only damaged her career and credibility, but also her kids and family and just wants to move in a positive direction.

Sadly I think she's cleaning up because her dad is making her, and she's trying to make a come back for herself. I don't think it has anything to do with her kids, or autism.
