The Breton stripe shirt, which originated the French province of Brittany and became the official French sailing uniform in 1858, is making a comeback this season and both moms and tots are embracing it. Unlike the black and white Venetian stripes sported by fellow celeb baby Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, the white-based shirts with horizontal blue stripes were originally used to help locate sailors who fell overboard. Today, the Breton-style shirts can help mamas keep track of their lil ones among the sea of tykes on the playground.
