The Animation

Whether or not you're fortunate enough to see Brave in 3D, the animated depiction of the Scottish Highlands is an absolute feast for the senses. There are points throughout the film when you'll truly forget that the scenery is animated — it's just that good.

We got to see Brave at Pixar this weekend, and while I was a little worried that my 2 1/2 year old would be scared of a few of the scenes he was absolutely entranced, and still talks about the bears from the film — but he wasn't freaked out by them. I also got pretty teary eyed with the mother/daughter theme and wanted to call my mom and apologize for being a teenager! Definitely a great family movie.
