"One of the best surprises in the room was the trundle bed," Kate says. "I mentioned to my in-laws that I wanted to purchase a twin bed or day bed for the room and they said, 'We have Joe's [my husband] twin bed in storage from when he was little, and you can paint it or do whatever you want with it.' What a great surprise when the bed came over that it was a campaign style. The wood was the perfect contrast to all my modern white! It has been great to have a bed in the nursery in case I need to sleep in there, and the trundle has great storage." Kate picked up the animal prints above the bed from Etsy's N. Eve Designs.
