Teaching kids about drugs is important. Teaching them by way of Latawnya, the Naughty Horse, Learns to Say "No" to Drugs, which features three black horses — Latawnya, Latoya, and Daisy — who leave the stable to purchase drugs from four white horses — Connie, Chrystal, Jackie, and Angie (see what they did there, flipped racism on its head with one flip of a drugged-up horse's tail) — isn't the best way to go about it. Not surprisingly, the book is out of print, but it has become a collector's item in the past several years with used copies going for over a hundred dollars.
