This shot of Piper and Trig Palin is about as good as it gets. The big sister had a lil mom spit moment at the Republican convention while her mama was at the podium. Taking good care of her wee brother, the seven-year-old tamed his hair with a quick lick and slick of her hand. Are you guilty of using this trick fix on your tots?

The increased risk of Down's Syndrome with maternal age is why they really wanted me to have an amnio with my last pregnancy, since I was 35. I haven't seen a single study that claimed it went down with age, only that percentage-wise, the most babies with Down Syndrome are born to those in the median age of childbearing.

aww, cute. i thought she seemed very at ease and natural in front of that big crowd.actually most children with down's syndrome are born to young mothers because, 1) young women have more babies, and, 2) mothers over 35 have amniocentesis and often those mothers choose to abort babies with down's.
