The Best Pint-Sized Sun, Sand, and Waterproof Sandals For Summer

7

Cover up those tootsies! Flip-flops may be the symbol of Summer, but they aren't necessarily the safest for lil feet. Hot sand, scorching pavement, and wet surfaces all call for sturdy shoes to cover precious toes. I've rounded up the best waterproof sandals to ensure that feet are well protected as we head into beach and pool season.

Clockwise from top left: Sperry Top-Sider Wet Tech Quarter Strap Sandal ($40), Timberland Riverquest Closed Toe Sandal ($30), Stride Rite Rene ($39), Robeez High Tide Sandal ($30), Geox Kids Jr Sandal Strada ($60), Nike Sunray Protect Sandal ($30), Stride Rite Kyle ($44), Keen Newport H2 Waterproof Sandal ($50).

@EvieJ try i play baby wear they have really nice affordable swim shoes for $7.99. That's not cheapness or being poor @anon it called being smart within ones budget.
@EvieJ - when it comes to the comfort of my child I'll pay the extra measily couple of dollars (the round trip cost for fuel for one mall trip or buying lunch instead of packing, ONE DAY) for a summer long of happiness and comfort for my child - that just me though - don't be cheap. or work harder... no excuses for cheapness or being poor.
@EvieJ, they did say "the best" sandals for summer, not the 'good enough for a cheap price' sandals. You want to pay less, have the good enough but not great ones. Really? You're going to fuss because they cost $30?

@anon: My point is that I don't want to pay that much for shoes for a 2-year old. $27 is close enough to $30 to be out of the price range of what I'll spend for shoes to wear to the beach/pool for one summer.

Lil - I love the sandals, but they're all out of my budget. Would it be possible to include items in every budget for those of us who can't afford $30+ for sandals for a kid to wear one summer? I've noticed this with other posts, too - not all of us can afford to/want to spend loads on our clothes for toddlers!
